2001 Suburban Wheel Hub

I replaced the left front wheel hub on my suburban today. Is this something that should be replaced in pairs or am I OK to wait until I have a problem with the other one before replacing it?

I'd just do the one side if it were mine.. You will have lots of warning that the other side is going bad now that you know what the sound of a bad hub sounds like.... Roger

Our company makes OEM and aftermarket wheel bearing hub units for the automotive industry. I'm involved with warranty at the technical end.

We don't allow the dealers to replace both bearings if only one is bad. That's because bearings are not a wear item in the traditional sense, as are tires, brakes, and struts. When bearings fail, they fail catastrophically from a defect of some sort. They don't "wear out". Your Suburban will be fine.
