Angry when i press the gas pedal it dont want to move barely

i have a 1993 ford explorer with a 4.0 engine with v-6 my problem is when i press on the gas pedal it barely move and all of a sudden it take off pretty fast like a bat out of hell and then some time it seem like it want to quick can someone help me out

Does the engine rpm's go up when you hit the pedal but the car doesn't move or does the rpm's not go up except all at once? In other words, is it a gas linkage or transmission issue?
I assume for that year that it doesn't have a carburetor; may be throttle position sensor. If it is the trans, easiest and simplest is trans fluid level check.

Yes you can have too much and that can cause problems as well. You need to get the fluid level below the full mark before anything else is done. Unless your truck has a trans drain plug, you'll likely have to siphon/pump it out of the dipstick hole.
