Fuel Gage Vibration

I have a 1997 GMC Surburban (1500) I had the fuel pum replaced about 4 months ago. Now when I start the truck the fuel gage needle bounces back and forth then settles where the gas is, but the needle is vibrating back and forth. Any solutions? Thanks

Was the fuel pump job a DIY or shop job? Sounds like the harness wasn't "rewired" properly with the new pump there is always a new harness and either not replacing it or a loose connection from replacing it will cause the flux you describe. The other option is a gauge going but since its been going since the pump replacement sounds like an intermittent/weak connection thing to me.
Good Luck

ive heard the the gauge cluster can go bad causing the fuel gauge to vibrate or have erratic movements.
