one or two cooling fans?
I have a 92 lumina APV van. It has one fan in front of radiatiro and one behind it (probably AC). the one in front isn't coming on causing the van to get too hot. Is the one in back also used to keep it cool or will it not work by itself in keeping van fron overheating?
was told it might be ok with the AC fan only but not sure.

usually-1 fan comes on with the a/c compressor.
the 2nd fan is controled by the coolant temp switch, either through a signal sent to the pcm( engine control module)-or directle ,by way of a relay.
without some wiring schematics 'you' may not be able to diagnose it.
or possibly damage something else!
