squeeling on turns

I have a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer. When I turn at slow speeds (sometimes, not always) it squeels. It happens when I turn corners slowly and when I turn into a parking spot. It seems like it is coming from the front wheels. The squeel sounds like what tires sound like when they squeel on pavement. The tires are older, but are not down to the wear indicator bar yet, but probably will be close enough fto the bar to make me want to buy new ones by year-end.

I had it checked by a Chevy dealer. He said he couldn't find anything wrong. His solution was that the gear knob was in the AWD selection. He moved it to the 2WD and said the noise silenced. Well, it hasn't. Any help on what the problem might be?

Thanks in advance.

Does it do it all the time? My truck only does it on the shiny black top.

Check your belts too. Look underneath and see if anything is cracking?
