Broken heated power mirror glass

Is there a good way to get broken mirror glass out so I can reuse the assembly? It still moves via the switch in the car but the glass is star cracked. I tried using a hair dryer on it to try to heat the glue and a flathead screwdriver to take out the glass, but it didn't work very well. this is for a '95 Crown Vic, which would have been bartered but the other guy hasn't received the title for his car yet from the DMV.

The glass comes out with the "Plastic Reciever"
I dont recall offhand-----But I remeber something about prying the outer edge Vertically Toward the door, and popping it out from the other side. Google it, Im sure someone has done it.

Thank you much. Probably should buy the new glass to see how it goes.

Had a Tempo of something similar year and I recall it basically being a ball and socket joint, the plastic receiver just popped out with a little pressure

Got the part, it was a piece of glass cut right size and a couple pieces of double stick tape. Cleaned the surface with alcohol, put on the tape and the glass.
