Looks like it could be perhaps a 'D' or 'E' code engine with two Holleys. (8V). I don't remember if the 'W' code 427 Mercury GT motor came with an (8V) option or not.

No One mentioned "side oiler". FYI, there was a "Top oiler" as well.
