2008 caravan side mirror glass repacement?

Someone hit the passenger side outside mirror on my wife's 2008 Grand Caravan. All is well except the mirror glass is broken - broken and hanging off by the two heating element wires. Some of the plastic backing/connector is still attached to the mirror. Does anyone know how to replace this? Will a new mirror glass just snap in place? If I go to a junk yard how can I remove a good mirror off a car there? Thanks

Outside edge sticking out, Hook it with your fore and middle fingers, And push the glass sideways toward the door, it will unlock and slide out. Provided it doeswnt shatter. I strongly recommend NEW glass, which will come with the plastic reciever. That will just Clip on.

If you have trouble finding it at your local yard, try www.uneedapart.com. I got a mirror for my car that way. Just be very clear on the color, I didn't quite get the right blue to match my car. It is a free service.

you can order replacement glass only. yours will be more expensive, as it has heating element in it. regular glass OEM match is around 20 bucks.

power mirrors run around $120 and up into 200s off internet. i know as my son backed out from garage and busted his mirror on eclipse, so i did some research on those.
as we do not quite care, i gunked mirror back in place, restoring armature as much as i could inside the mirror, and now he has large spherical mirror in it, instead of OEM glass. car's not worth 200 bucks for this.

replacement heated glass for my Crown Vic cost just under $10 at the local auto parts chain store with a 2 day wait.

I didn't need the elements. I just applied it over the cracked glass.
