1995 Dodge Dakota Sport

A co worker cannot get the passenger side door open with the outside handle, but can with the inside handle. I figure a clip has come undone on some of the linkage, but before I volunteer to do the troubleshooting and the fix, I wonder what is holding the inner door panel cover in place vis a vis plastic fasteners, screws etc. Am I going to need any special tools to tackle this?

My trick is to first practice on a car in a wrecking yard. Then I also buy some of the plastic fasteners from the wrecking yard as those always break.
