Compression test 2003 Ford Focus?

Compression test 2003 Ford Focus?

How would I do a compression test on a 2003 Ford Focus without the automatic transmission??

remove spark plug wires
use compressed air to blow dirt from around spark plugs
remove all spark plugs
disconnect ignition wire from coil
install compression gauge
hold throttle open
spin engine over / count 4 compression cycles
take reading from gauge-compare all cylinders

except that if he has plugs deep in plug wells, he'll have to have special gauge long enough to go into them all the way. been there.

oh, and it's not rubber hose length. it has to be metal. i saw it once and can't find it anymore. guys say those are rentable though.
