Question 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee front right passenger power door lock mechanism

The power door locking mechanism does not respond and it makes a buzzing noise when the locking button switch is actuated. How do you gain access to the inside door panel and then replace the locking actuator mechanism? Are special tools required to remove the door panel.

The link below only goes up to 1998, but for the most part removing a door panel on Jeeps is basically all the same. The link is close enough and will more than get you in the ballpark so you know what you have to do. Only special tools are “TORX” drivers, and the tool for removing those plastic door panel clips.

Question Need more current information on 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee interior door panels are completely different from what was on the 1998 and prior models, so this info doesn't really help me for removing the door interior panel.
