If I'm not mistaken, parts stores like Autozone can check the light and code [to tell why it came on] and turn it off..... but turning it off is just a short term fix if the underlying cause isn't fixed first.

What was the actual code number?
What part was changed?

Was the alleged defective part checked before it was changed and found to be defective, or was it just changed because a code was set. That could be the first problem. To clear an "MIL" immediately you need a "TECH II SCAN TOOL". Otherwise, if the repair was done correctly, the code and "MIL" will simply clear itself. Just drive your car normally. If by the 80th cycle of the ignition key on and off the "MIL" hasn't cleared, it means that the repair was done incorrectly.

If they clear the code, and it doesn't set the CEL, likely a sensor low voltage code. More or less it means a sensor is going out.

Have a parts store check it out, then go from there.

How does the engine start/run, and the vehicle drive??
