Lock Wheel

My 2001 Buick Century's rear Wheel on the driver's side locked on me when backing out of the garage, I tried moving the car back and forth, but it didn't help. The wheel won't lock when moving forward. Help

No mechanic but it sounds like something broke - I'd pull the wheel and take a look.

Ditto on what Pooky said.

In my experience, you have a mechanism that when you back up and hit the brakes it helps widen your brake pads after you have relined your pads. Also it could have something to do w/ your parking break mechanism. Just a thought, hope it helps. Respects.

The rear brake's self adjuster works when applying the brakes while backing up. It's possible the parking brake isn't releasing but I'm with Mitch, I'd get that wheel off of the ground, see how it rotates and then remove the tire and brake hub to get a look see.
