Trans dipstick

oil does not register on both sides of dip stick on tranmission

Holden, welcome to the forums! We do get rowdy sometimes. If you mean does the fluid show on both sides, quite obviously it will. Now, only one side of the dipstick is marked with hashmarks/full/add, etc. but it would be physically impossible to dip a stick in a liquid and not have the liquid stick to both sides.

Maybe he means the fluid doesn't register on EITHER side of the dipstick ....

It is entirely possible that the dipstick is bent and rubbing on something on the way out and causing the oil to be wiped off one side of the dipstick. Isn't it?
