Hi
My friend's car has an over heating issue. We changed the coolant after a Prestone flush. Replaced the thermostat two times.
At first the guage went up so putting the heater on cooled it so you could ive it. Afer the flush it was alot betrer but iut happend again. He just put a new radiator cap on and has not told me if it helped.
Any ideas I can help him with?
Thank you

Plenty of miles on it I'm sure. Some possibilities: head gasket, water pump impeller deteriorated, collapsing lower radiator hose, radiator fins clogged/dirty externally, radiator clogged internally, cooling fan(s), dragging brakes, transmission issues.
