Exhaust Leak - What do we really need to do?

Our '97 Accord failed inspection today for an exhaust leak. Its leaking at the connection as shown in the pics. I will be taking it in to be fixed, but I want to have an idea of what it will take to fix this. Can it just be pieced ? I really don't know and I do not want to get taken. All help appreciated...

From what I can see in the pictures, your fore pipe needs replacing. It is probably a factory type item as it needs that flange on it to attache to the spring clamp. Hopefully that is all the muffler folks will find that needs replacing.

yeah, you can buy a right flange with short pipe and cut/clamp the rest on. but it's a lot of dirty labor to do on your back and underneath the car. Meineke is not that expensive.
