Timing belt replacement Ford Focus

I have a 2000 Ford Focus and need instructions on how to change the timing belt. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

do not want to sound like i do not want to help, BUT I would suggest that you go to the local auto parts store, & buy/read up on a $15 manual, it will have a lot of info-that is too detailed to post here .!

Or try the Autozone website...It may have repair instructions for your car.

Just did a lookup on Gates' site. The DOHC engine is listed as interference (aka valve bender), SOHC apparently is not. Extra caution with lining up timing marks on interference engines. Also, if your engine has timing belt-driven water pump replace it while you're in there.
