2007 Accord air filter

I'm trying to replace the air filter in my 2007 Accord V-6.

I can remove the 4 screws holding down the housing cover, but can't get enough room to move the cover away/off to get the filter out.

Anybody have any experience in changing out the filter in this model?

Thanks

actually it looks that if you had hose removed, air filter cover should slide off the housing in a heartbeat, towards engine and up.

Thanks for the reply and those pictures.

I discovered the battery tie-down had to be moved some to wards the engine for the housing cover to clear the filter box.

I still think it should be a simpler operation.

Oh,well. Thanks for your reply

Call Honda tell them your opinion. On Civics, you need to remove battery and some parts to replace headlight bulb. People, IT'S A JAPANESE VEHICLE, for pete's sake. it's made for people with tiny hands, masochistic, and enjoying blade sharp sheet-work.

Those filters are a pain in the tail! If you lift it high enough to clear the filter box, you can push it towards the throttle body and force it up past the battery hold down. Usually have to bump it to get it back together.
