Door mechanism keeps freezing. Any recommendations for the type of lube spray to use?

Most anything will work, but a graphite-based product will lubricate without attracting dirt.

1. You need to get moisture out of it. ot it will keep freezing
2. believe it or not, ATF is a very good lubricant, and most home mechs have it around. You can even pull trannie dipstick out and use fluid off it. put it on the key, stick key in, wiggle it inside, put more onto it, repeat.
3. read #1. ether works very well. or pure alcohol, or high proof methanol. something somewhere in your door trim allows water to drip onto lock.

Duh, when I read "freezing" I was thinking freezing up from dirt/crud. Sometimes forget people in the northern regions have problems like frozen - really frozen - parts. Temps heading for lower 30's tonight, so might get some personal experience.

I wish the temp was heading in the lower 30's tonight. I checked it a little after sun down, and it was 9, and suppose to a lot lower. They are calling for like 20 below, with the wind chill.
