2000 GM minivan power window goes down but not up.

Its a pontiac montana to be more specific but I assume any GM minivan uses the same parts. Its the front passenger window which will go down but not up. Both the driver's and passenger's controls have the same result. I have disconnected the motor by removing its 2 prong connector and can close the window by applying 12vdc directly to the motor, so I know the motor works in both directions. If anyone can direct me to a wiring diagram it would be helpful.

Autozone has a schematic for your van. Looks like a pretty simple circuit. No real electronic modules involved.

Have you tested the switch for continuity when operated in both directions? The up side may be defective.

Ahhh...I sorta misread the problem. I thought both windows wouldn't go up, not just the passenger side.

Since the driver side switch actually runs THROUGH the pass side switch to power the window up and down, the problem is the pass side switch. The contacts inside are prob fried or broken. If it was the driver side switch that was bad, the pass side can operate independently...but not the other way round.
