Unhappy Engine Cuts In And Out When AC Is Turned On 99 Grand Voyager 3.8

I have a 99 Plymouth Grand Voyager 3.8 engine. The motor cuts in and out when the AC is turned on. The RPMs will drop down like the motor is going to stop then runs back up to normal.

The check engine light is not on. Can anyone help please?

Thanks

your ilde air control motor should kick your ilde up just before ac clutch comes on possible just dirty and is not moving properly located in throttle body just remove and clean and clean throttle body. Compressor might be going bad causing to much load. How is your ac cooling and is the compressor noisey.

also forgot to say the engine also cuts out while I'm driving it and not just at idle.

read error codes

either your engine is dying, or compressor is next to go seized, causing too much strain on engine. then again, it's V6, so it should not even notice that comp.

There are a lot of reasons engine may cut out.does it stall while driving and needs to be restarted or want to stall while coming to a stop.Don't think it's your compressor make sure cooling fan motor is working it can make compressor work harder and cause extra load.think you should hook up scanner and check for any stored codes.Clean out throttle body and iac if never done before it's needs it.
