1998 Ford Explorer: Shocks

How difficult would it be to replace my shocks? My brother has the tools, and does most of his own car work.

I am not that as familiar with them. But I have been working with him on a few things.

Shocks or struts? Shocks are easy, 2 top bolts/nuts and a big nut at the bottom. Struts...sometimes not so much. I could not break the top nut free on mine so took the spring, strut and mounts to a local shop I'd been to before. Replaced the struts in both assemblies for a 12 pack.

I'd spray some PB Blaster [or similar] on the nuts a day or so before you go to change them out.
Changing out shocks is pretty straight forward. If your brother is used to working on vehicles y'all shouldn't have any problems. I'm sure there is a video or three out there but I don't know of any.
