How much oil in oil pan?

OK, so I have a question. How exactly much oil is in the oil pan? Say, out of 4 qrts?
Reason being, I run on Amsoil, and to run full mileage on it, oil filter has to be changed at regular intervals.
I can do this on RX300, as filter is up high on the engine block, but Silverado and Camry have filters "hanging down" right next to oil pans, slightly above the pan gasket.
I do not mind losing some oil that comes with filter, but if it's a major spill, it's cost prohibitive at $10 a qrt for Amsoil.

You shouldn't lose very much, maybe a pint or 1 1/2 pints. The low hanging filters won't siphon oil from the pan because the oil has to go thru the pump first.
