Battery charger
I'm looking for a battery charger,and came across a Schumacher XC-10
model that looked pretty good for my truck, and car.
Its a 10 amp model that will charge 10,6,and 2 amps. $45
Anybody have any real time info on this?
Many Thanks,and Happy New Year.

I googled it and one on line seller showed low ratings for this model but good ratings for some of the companies other models. Also, the price appeared a tad high.

I use Schumacher, and have never had a problem. EXCEPT for the lock out when using the "start" feature. If you have it on "start" feature and your initial crank of the dead battery car does not result in a start of the engine, it goes to a default countdown, about 90 seconds before you can attain a "start" mode. Just a little frustrating.

I have a 10/6/2 Schumacher (blue case) and it has worked quite well. I've used it on full size car batteries and small motorcycle batteries without any problems. I like that the display gives you some indication of of what's going on; voltage, battery's charged percentage.

Thanks to you all for your replies.
I've had Schumacher chargers before, but family members always ended up with them. They were much more rugged looking, larger than this one, hence
my concerns.
Best wishes for a Happy New Year.

Update:
I returned this model charger for a another model one by Schumacher,SC-1000A. This new model has a Gage dis-playing the charge rate, which i'm more comfortable with.
Thanks for your inputs
