No Fan Blowing

I have an 2005 Ford Focus ZX5 ( hatchback ).

While I`m driving sometimes the fan motor will stop working.
When I turn the switch back to the off position and turn it back on... it will work again...sometimes only for a moment...then I turn it off again... and again it will restart and work fine for the rest of my trip.
Two days or so will go by with it working fine and then again out of no where it does this again!
When it is working ALL fan speed positions work just fine.
Also when I park the car I will leave the fan switch set on high so when I command start the car it will be blowing....twice I have noticed when I got in it was doing nothing.....yet when I turn the switch to the off position and then back on it starts working just fine!

I am sure it won't be long till I luck out and it stops entirely.

Is this a weak or faulty fan motor?
Resistor?

Something else?

Suggestions or help please!

I would look at the fan switch first.
