ELM327 bluetooth monitor with Android phone

Hi!

After years of asking you guys for repair advice (thanks!) i figured I'll ask about the ELM327 monitors. While dealing with my current EGR valve issue for Accord 2000, I was googling various engine code readers and stumbled upon these ELM327 wireless scanners. I now want one! Wonder if anyone has experience with these: are the cheap one reliable enough?

Basically, it's a $12-$15 thingy that goes into the OBDII slot and communicates with the Android phone over bluetooth. There seems to be tons of free apps that do usual code reading/resetting but also all sorts of monitoring.

Anyone used these? Any advice or experience to share?

Thanks!

I have used the one I have on the Fords I have and the Honda with good results. I use the Android app Torque Pro and an adapter I got off Amazon.
