92 buick century 3.3L missing - help diagnosing

1992 Buick century 3.3L 6 cyl FI
on acceleration from stand still the motor hesitates/spits/misses, once up to speed its ok. i dont think its the injectors and the plugs and wires are reasonably new. could this be one of the coil packs?

i would like to know if this could be a diy or something for a mechanic.

thanks

It's possible, but I think I would start my troubleshooting by checking fuel pressure. You may be able to rent/borrow a gauge from Auto Zone or other parts places.

Can you remember last fuel filter change?

Diy409,

You stated a misfire!!!

WELL!!!

Is the misfire a "Cylinder Misfire" (and or) an "Ignition Misfire"???

You do realize that "Vacuum Leaks" cause misfires right???

What "Engine Error Codes" are set???

In terms of doing it yourself, I really can't answer that till you post your "Level Of Skill"

Thank You
Amy

Had the same engine in a 92 Olds Cutlass Ciera and the tech who got it working again did noting more than clean the throttle body and injectors (by actually cleaning them, not by pouring something in the gas tank).
