Now that is some funny stuff. I was waiting for him to turn the ignition and see something come flying out of the bowl.

Yeah, the natural fuel. Porcelain is sometime used as catalyst, might as well just use natural toilet fuel.

Although my wife has watched him on and off for years, I had never heard of him until a few years ago. I've seen some of his 'stunts' that looked liked they involved days of work just for a few minutes of laughs. Locally he comes on PBS late in the evening when his show isn't preempted for something not as interesting. IMO it'd be a great show for prime time

Well, there is a classic when they did entire body work on his Old Possum van. Doors, panels, and such. Or, made a full blown jacket out of tape.
Like Uncle Red says - Well, folks, and here comes every man favourite episode - ductape.

I think I saw that one. I remember one where he made an all wheel drive/steer car. They took 2 front wheel drive plymouths cut them in half and used the 2 front halves to make the car. I remember duct tape and bungy cords connecting the 2 steering wheels, shift levers and pedals. It only got a few minutes of air time but had to take days to plan and execute.
