Or your valve timing could be off; check alignment marks on crank and cam.

Trying to remember what a '94 3.0 has, belt or chain. Either way, have to access the sprockets to check the alignment. Was the head checked/serviced at a machine shop while it was off?

jujubofak,

You stated your vehicle is a 1994 Taurus 3.0.

By chance did you fail to mention that it’s an “SHO”?

With that being said, do you realize how (the SHO factor) changes the "Playing Field"?

Thank You
Amy
