Mustang brakes !!

Recently revived my 1995 GT from its winter nap. Drove 10 miles to visit, car running fine. After visit, started it....running real rough; slowing down for a brakes....nothing. Pushing on the pedal with both feet...nothing. The pedal was hard, like it was bolted to the chassis; moved about an inch then super hard. No lights came on the dash. Had to downshift and handbrake my way home.
Would these be the symptoms of a brake booster failure...? Without a dash warning light...? I think it's a vacuum-booster sytem. Sounds like a broken, rotted, fallen off hose...? Didn't have time to check it...was leaving town.
Thanx for any input folks.

Yes, a hard brake pedal like what you are describing here is a sign of a failed power brake booster (and or) vacuum issues with the brake booster.

Thank You

Thank you Amy, for the reply/info. Will get at it when the temp gets above 50 degrees...(WI).
