Can you bypass the abs on a 91 buick with a metering valve
91 buick park ave front drivers side..seems like something is locking down replaced the caliper, brakes on the front, abs pump and the rotor worked fine for a day now its doing the same thing you can smell it getting hot any advice would be nice ..can you bypass the abs and put a metering valve on it??

Welcome to the forums.
I can't answer your question about the metering valve but your problem could be a defective flex hose.
Rubber brake lines break down internally and the pieces can cause a blockage.

Answer to your question is no. You'll damage the ABS system, and set multiple ABS error codes. I agree with the brake hose theory, but are you able to scan the ABS module, and post any error codes that could be set?

We replaced the hose and it works thank yall so much.....I have drove it to South Carolina which is about 3 1/2 hours from where I am and no problems....Thanks again
