Jeep Limited Steering Damper

Hello all. I have a 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee that is increasingly doing what I have been told is the "death wobble" at moderate to high speeds. It was suggested that I change the Steering damper to see if this helps/fixes the issue. It seems to be a straight forward replacement and I bought a KYB brand replacement but one of the bolts that came with the supposedly drop in replacement is too big on left side (if facing vehicle). IS there something else I need to do? And also how does the KYB brand rate versus the Moog, Monroe or Rancho models?
