2001 Chevrolet Suburban

'01 1500 Suburban, occasionally the brake and ABS lights come on, and will stay on. Then, you drive to your next stop, start it back up, and the lights are off. This isn't something that happens everyday either, brake fluid level is good, there is a connection, under the master cylinder, have pulled it off, cleaned it, and put it back on, but to NO avail, problem still exist. The pedal feels fine, and vehicle stops OK, NO issues, EXCEPT THE LIGHTS!! Issue has been going on about 3 weeks!! Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

There will be a trouble code stored in your vehicle computer. Even if you restart the vehicle and the code doesn't immediately reappear. Take your vehicle to a Pep Boys or Advanced Auto or one of the big chain stores and they'll read your computer for codes for free. That code will be stored in memory for up to 30 restarts, I believe.

The typical problem is usually a defective front wheel sensor.
