How to Unscrew "Old and Rusty" License Plate Screws?

Hi:
I am unable to unscrew License Plate Screws that I put about 7-8 years ago, due to 'theft proof Lincece Screws.' Now, I need to take them off, because the car is too expensive and plus too old to repair.

I tried an wrench, but not able to unscrew them.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Are they screws? or bolts? Have you sprayed them with PB Blaster [or equivalent]? tried tapping them with a hammer while trying to turn them?

Markrs covered my first thoughts.
If they are really being trouble, let the PBBlaster soak overnight.
Last resort (or if the heads are damaged), would be drill them out.

If they are one way screws like this http://www.nachi.org/images10/oneWayScrew.png you'll need a special remover bit or you might be able to use a dremel tool to cut a slot for a regular screwdriver. You might be able to do it with a hacksaw if you have clearance.

Unless it's a pretty old car, most have nylon inserts that the screw goes in to. Rust shouldn't have too much effect once you get a tool on them.
