removing wiper blades

What is the trick to removing the existing wiper blades (hook design) ffrom a 1997 Lincoln town car? Guess I thought it would be a simple process, cannot seem to find anything that releases the hook lock if there is such a thing; just baffled.

It's easy unless the tab is broken. As with most things it's simple if it ain't broke.

thanks, that clip is not an easy thing to find UNDER the blade and to try and push that little pin and yank the blade off the arm is not as easy as one would think while the blade is over the windshield. Sad part is, the blade replacement package has no instructions for taking the blade off, just putting the new one one!

Getting them off shouldn't be a pain. That mounting system works very well for most manufacturers.

On a nice day in the driveway spend a few minutes with the wiper assembies taking them off & on repeatedly .. you'll get the hang of it.

Is that a homework assignment?
