Welcome to the forums Sherri!
I don't know the specifics of your car but generally you take off the door panel [it's usually installed with clips] to expose the metal framework. From that point it's just a matter of figuring out how to remove the glass from the track. Generally there isn't enough room to make it an easy job

Manual or power window? As you will normally have to lower glass clips to specific points, where locking bolts are exposed to undo them, then slide whatever is left of the glass out.
But 1st step is like marksr said - getting to it.
Library copies of repair manual or even spending around $14 for one is a good idea.
You can go to Autozone site, create log in, and have repair guide online.
Normally, it's not that hard of a job, just meticulous and being able to work in tight spaces. The little triangle glass in the rear door is much harder to replace.
