It depends on how close you are to a repair facility. I had to send one of mine to a facility in Phoenix (about 250 miles away) via Fed-Ex. Total cost to me for straightening, polishing, re-clear coating was about $100 (they paid return shipping). Took about 4 days.
Tire, wheel, and automobile manufacturers all say buy a new wheel (of course), but I think if repaired by a reputable company that specializes in repair, it should be fine. In my case, the car was only manufactured for 2 years and a USED wheel would have cost almost $200, if I could find one.
Apparently there is one in Bedford (near Halifax?) if you are near there I would contact them and send a pic to see if it's a candidate for repair. Alloy Wheel Refinishing and Repair | other | Bedford | Kijiji
I found that using a search of "alloy wheel repair in nova scotia".

I bought a car once with a bent rim and the company that fixed it cut out that piece and welded in a new one. I only knew that because they told me - I couldn't see where they had worked when I got the wheel back.
