I'm assuming that to engine is a 4 cylinder, the first thing to do is to check the fuel pressure. There should be what is call a fuel rail that each of the fuel injectors are connected to, on the fuel rail you should find a Schrader Valve (pressure valve). Connect a fuel pressure tester to the pressure valve and turn the ignition switch to the on position. As the ignition switch is turn on to the the fuel pump will engage and pressurize the fuel system. The reading of the fuel pressure tester gauge will determined if the fuel pump is delivering fuel throughout the fuel system. More that likely you have a bad fuel pump or a bad fuel pump relay switch. to determined which is bad first remove the fuel pump relay switch and use and equivalent relay switch from the fuse box located either under the hood or under the dashboard. While Fuel pressure tester is still connected, turn the ignition switch to the on position if the fuel pressure gauge has a reading the relay switch is bad and need to be replaced, if the pressure gauge reads zero that the fuel pump is bad and need replacing. The correct diagnosis of the problem eliminate the guess work. Don't ever hot wire anything or you could damage a good part or other parts connected to a part.

Fuel injector is not working as in? Does not spray as there is no fuel to it? Or does not even open to spray? As this electrical AT INJECTOR problem vs NO FUEL TO INJECTOR problem.
Do what SJP recommended to eliminate no fuel to injector part. I have never heard of catastrophic fuel filter clogging.
Unless all injectors are so dirty that fuel simply does not go through, but all FOUR of them?

Did you depressurize the fuel system and than repressurize the system to check if the correct pressure is there. If so and the correct pressure is there your fuel pump and relay switch is fine. All of the injectors would not go bad at the same time, usually you will notice a lack of performance before a injector become completely clogged or fail. The system needs to be scan for error codes to make sure that the problem is not in the electrical system or any sensors, if there no stored error codes that you will have to pull the fuel injectors to test them, also you can pull the intake to check for excessive carbon buildup which will effect the performance of the injectors.
