2007 Chevy Malibu LS (2.2L, 4 cylinder) Fuel Sending unit broken-repair cost?

Hey all,
My 2007 Chevy Malibu's fuel gauge broke last week - as soon as I filled the tank, the fuel gauge initially at 'Full' after fill up, dropped to 'Empty and the 'Low Fuel' warning came up on the display in the center of the console.
Well, having had several other GM's - a Buick and another '98 Malibu, I've experienced this problem before.

Anyway, my question is - Does anyone know if the 2007 Malibu design for replacing the fuel sending unit provided a fuel tank access plate either in the truck or behind the rear seat; or, do you still have to drop the fuel tank to replace it?
Thanks,
greynold99

The tank must be dropped on a 2007 Malibu to get to the sender unit.
A you tube video on the subject..... Pulling the gas tank
