2005 Chevy Equinox wheel bearing problems

The wheel bearing is stuck on the axle shaft, the bearing is out of the knuckle ok, but I can't get the shaft to even budge off the bearing. I've tried PB blaster, heat, air hammer on shaft, sledgehammer. I looking for suggestions on how to separate the two, or do I need to cut bearing off. Thanks.

I'd probably replace the axle....sounds like they have welded together.

Also, you may try puller, locked on bearing, say - in stud holes, and center bolt pressing axle shaft out.
Btw, you need to heat the bearing, not the axle. Bearing should expand, and loosen when cooled down.

Yeah, but then he needs to buy axle shaft and bearing.

The reman shaft is the shaft and both CV joints, so he is buying the shaft. The bearing is already welded on/stuck to the old CV joint, so he knows he needs a new bearing. So I don't see any problem in simply giving up on the old one and installing a new/reman shaft. This is pretty common problem on the Equinox, btw. Well, not sure about the bearing getting stuck part, but Equinox's do have rather weak wheel bearings, probably intended for a smaller vehicle but GM stuck em on the Equinox anyways.
