2010 Ford Edge Inner Tie Rod Replacement

2010 Ford Edge Inner Tie Rod Replacement
I am attempting to change the Right Inner Tie Rod on my 2010 Edge. Does anyone know if the end that is threaded into the steering box is "Crimped In" at the factory or is there a pin through it acting as a set screw? Will I be able to back that out by hand?

I am trying to figure out if it is something I can do myself or if it requires a lift or special tools other than the Tie Rod puller.....

Thanks for any help....

Chances are it has a crimp over washer on it; once you straighten the washer it should unscrew with the special inner tierod end tool, although the last two I did (Toyotas), just unscrewing it with the special tool basically uncrimped the washer.

As an alternative to 'Twister's suggestion, check the repair section at autozone.com.
