1997 S10 4x4 Blazer part identification

Hello All:
I had to remove the panel located under my steering column. Two things were not attached to anything, they were just hanging loose. I have no idea what they are, or what they attached to. one was a plugin, count find the female unit it plugged into. The other was a white plastic thing, withName:  P1010527.jpg

Extra leads are under a lot of dash boards. It shouldn't be a surprise.

I agree with Pulpo.

Way back when, my Dad bought a new 1956 Chevrolet 210 Series four door sedan. The salesman asked if if he wanted backup lights for an extra $25. Dad said "yes". The salesman opened the trunk and plugged two cables together. The backup lights were already there! Just needed to be connected.
