2005 Chevy Tahoe Traction Control problems

I have a 2005 Tahoe (about 110,000 miles) with traction control. When moving from a start, the traction control almost always comes on - including that 'squirrely' (not sure how to describe it) noise that it makes when traction control kicks on. Even if I press the button to deactivate traction control, I experience the same issues.

1 - is this a do it yourself repair - if so, what needs to be done?

2 - if not a DIY repair, what would something like this cost to have fixed at a dealership?

Thanks - Adam.

Just a guess from a non car repair guy.
100 % sure all the tires are the same size?
Checked the air pressure?
My thinking is these to simple to check things could be tricking it into thinking one of the tires is rotating at a different speed as when it's slipping on ice.

All the tires are the same size and correct tire pressure. It has been doing it for quite some time, just getting worse with time.

Thanks - Adam.
