What's this rattling noise near my starter/flywheel?
I have a 91 gmc s15 4.3 liter jimmy and the rattling is getting worse.
I have the fly wheel cover and skid plate removed. I first thought maybe the starter wasnt engauging but I climbed under while running and thats not the issue.
I inspecting and shook some things but nothing rattled.
the noise sounds like its comming directly from the bell housing.
Can any one relate that can help me out?

Without hearing the noise...... I'd say it's the torque convertor going bad.
Ford vans had a torque convertor that sounded like a can of marbles and it got louder before it failed.

Take it by a general mechanic or a transmission place and just have them listen to it.
Most guys will do that free of charge.

Was just waiting on tires and a windshield.
