replace 86 Cavalier starter

I need to know how to replace starter for a 1986 cavalier 4 door, 4 cyc.

It's a piece of cake!

Disconnect negative battery cable.

Remove torque convertor inspection cover.

Remove starter mounting bolts.

Lower starter & remove electrical connections.

Installation is reverse of removal.

Pick up a Haynes manual at your local auto parts store if you're still not clear on the procedure.

Can anyone tell me if it is the exact same procedure with a 92 Cavalier? (4 cyl.)

dis-connect battery cable's and follow the positive wire to your starter should have to bolts take them out maybe a something they call a crossmember in your way but i don't think so on that model.it's simple just follow the positive battery cable and take it off.not everyone in here understands ase talk. "hope i helped you".
