Honda Civic 2008 does not start
Hi everyone,
I have a 2008 Honda Civic that will not start, unless upon boosting.
I checked the battery, which is fine. The voltage on the alternator is correct, but it seems that the battery does not charge.
Would anyone be able to help me as to the possible solution to this?
Thank you very much,
GM

Ahem, well, thing number 1 to do is to check battery cables. Specifically, terminals.
Do they look like this:
https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...21.t_QPCWKwclA
As then no charge from alternator will get to battery and no voltage from battery to starter.

If your car won't start (turn over) and you put jumper cables on it and it starts then you either have a bad battery of a bad connection on the battery.

BUT... sometimes the NEGATIVE cable is clamped onto the engine or the body when jumping, and in this case, it could still be a bad cable.
I checked the battery, which is fine.

OP, do simple. Borrow a known good battery, replace one in your car with that one, and if car starts right away - well, you got your answer. It's a feasible step before forking all the big bucks for a battery. Them and tire prices went nuts lately.

Thanks everyone for your help...I brought the battery to be tested at a garage and they said it was faulty so got new battery at no charge since warranty was still valid.
