2011 Toyota Sienna driver seat movement

Hi,
Driver Seat movement switch works for moving up and down but when I try to move forward and backward seat doesn't move. Any suggestion on what to look and where to start to diagnosis of the problem.
Please help.
Thanks,
S

There are two motors controlling that...... one for position and one to raise the seat.
If you operate the up/down switch...... observe which motor is operating the linkage.

The other motor will be the position one. I would un-plug it and check for 12v with a meter or test light while operating the switch. If you find power that would indicate a defective motor or jammed mechanism. If you don't measure voltage then it's the switch.

For the most part... the switch is usually the problem.

Does that model have a seat-mounted side-impact airbag?

I believe he's asking you that so if you go probing around or unplugging connections under the seat you don't risk an airbag deployment.

Bingo.

And some vehicles have them mounted IN the seats:

Ok. I just checked and I don't have the side-impact airbag.
Its little space issue at the bottom of driver side seat. Took out the bottom cover but could not take out the cover which has switch. I will put a pic today evening to see if anyone has any suggestion.
I can do it but only if I have good instructions so would be great to have some suggestions.

Ok Finally after research it looks like this seat might have four motors and don't know where to start.
1. Seat Sliding Front and Back
2. Height adjustment
3. Back rest seat adjustment
4. Lower back adjustment
see pics below and pls. suggest where to start..

BEWARE!

YELLOW connectors are USUALLY part of the "SRS" (Supplemental Restraint System)!

Could be a seat occupancy sensor or the like...

Please know what you're doing before you blow up an airbag!
