Welcome to the forums! Sounds as if you are experiencing a blend door problem that is prevalent with Dodge/Jeep. There is a way to R&R the blend doors without the standard "take everything from your windshield to your seat" out of the vehicle. I googled "heat blend door replacement" and the name of the vehicle. You may have good results doing that. The videos are quite helpful.
