Considering buying 2015.5 Volvo XC60 T6 Platinum - any info appreciated

Looking at a used 2015.5 Volvo XC60 T6 Platinum with 3.0 liter 6 cylinder has about 35,000 miles on it. It’s Certified Pre-Owned so is warrantied to 100,000 miles or November 2020.
Have you had any experience with this model? Reliability issues? Owner reports on the various car websites are all over the place -good and bad. I’m only considering CPO because of the warranty but still don’t want a problem car that has frequent smaller repairs needed.

I think this is kind of a transition model, being the last of the Volvo's under Ford ownership before it was sold to Geely. The engine is the last of the old line made by Ford in a Wales plant since about 2006. The unit was also used in Ford and Jaguar cars in Europe, so given the production run length the installed base was fairly large. That should bode well for parts and repair for quite a while. The changes for 2015.5 were useful and reflected the old Volvo management completing earlier planned upgrades post the ownership change. So it is probably among the last cars from the old Volvo, might be collectible some day!

I think this is a well regarded vehicle, with minor flaws throughout it model run. I think like all manufacturers there are a few lemons, but there are no glaring design flaws.

My repair experience is with older Volvo's but I would not be too worried about buying this vehicle, it is very nice to drive.

Thank you for the insights. I’m now considering an XC60, V60, and a V60 Cross Country, all with the 5 cylinder engine and I’m still hesitant because I have heard of some reliability issues. Although I have seen quite a few that have gone very high miles with satisfied owners. Still I’m taking my time and I’m partial to American and Japanese vehicles which have both been very reliable for me.
