2006 Chevy Trailblazer multipurpose switch

Hey Dane, My next door neighbor had a fight go bad in the cockpit of his Chevy Trailblazer and in the melee the turnsignal and other purpose switch was snapped off. He doesnt have the 300 bucks to pay a dealer to repair it. I need a video to look at the process before I even THINK about helping him with it, I cannot find one on Utube that isolates this particular vehicle switch. Any help?

You may not find a video for the exact vehicle but the following one is very close.
Tight working space but no real surprises in changing those switches.

Stalk replacement

Well lets see, he has only one vehicle, and it looks like more intricate work than the alternator I just did on my Chrysler 300 (and I actually have done one or two of those before lol From the video, I can see why the shops charge 300 bucks to do it. He needs a new vehicle anyway. Thanks for the video Link!

A long time ago I had a vehicle with a busted turn signal switch. What I did was install a 3 way toggle switch. Not as handy as the traditional switch but it worked.

Definitely a bit harder than replacing most alternators. At least with a stalk of this type you don't have to mess with pulling the steering wheel. The older style directionals all needed the wheel to be pulled.

My Neighbor told me he found a guy with experience to do it for 40 bucks (he already had the part) I would have paid him that just to not to have to do it lol
